Why don't politicians have key performance indicators in employment contracts?

Why don't politicians have key performance indicators in employment contracts?

Because they can get away with it.

Because they are not employed, they are elected. and elected to manage unpredictable and ever-changing situations by using judgment and creativity.

That is very different from agreeing to build 1000 more cars a week.

Civil servants though, who are employed, and make up most of the government by far, are subject to the usual management techniques.

The politicians know that they under perform and they do not let the public to judge them. Kevin 07 would fail all key performance indicators!
