In the US at what age can I legally be refused employment as a limo driver ? |
i see some companies advertise must be between 25 - 69 or 25 - 70. i assume this is legal but i would like to know. It is more about insurance coverage than age. If they cannot have a driver of a certain age covered by their insurance, they will not hire you. They an not legally set an upper age, however they can set a minimum age. They can legally refuse to hire anyone. The reason for the ages is insurance rates are very high for those under 25 and over 70. Some Commercial Auto Insurance carriers will not cover drivers under a certain age. Also, some limo companies will only hire at 25 due to Commercial Auto premiums being more for drivers under 25. They can refuse you at any age. Nobody "has" to hire anyone just because they are a certain age. However, according to Hillary Clinton, it is ok to murder people, as long as they are not born yet. |
