Elder law and POA?

my mom is in the N H. if I had POA would I be responsible for her bills?

Most likely yes..You need to contact the billers and let them know what is up with mom, then let them know your poa... ask what to do and how to go about it. I wasn't my grandmas poa, but I should have been. I did everything else for her..
