When you report to your state about elder abuse to a state agency isn't action fast or who next.?

In Pennsylvania, I would report elder abuse to the County Agency on Aging. There are also agencies on the statewide level. A good resource is the National Center on Elder Abuse, which has a website: http://www.elderabusecenter.org/default....
This website can help you locate state hot lines of where to report elder abuse. You can also get referral information from the U. S. Administration on Aging. Call toll free: 1-800-677-1166.

Be mindful that elder abuse could be physical, mental, or financial. Certain financial elder abuse I would report to the police. Much financial elder abuse is committed by family members in positions of trust (acting under a power of attorney supposedly for the benefit of the elderly person). It is really sad when a son or daughter who is supposed to be paying bills for an elderly person.
