What dept. handles elder abuse in nursing homes? |
i'm looking for a site with a telephone number for anonymous calls There should be a division at your local Department of Social Services for Adult Protective Services. That is who you would call your DA..office.... You may contact your local Agency on Aging or your Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, or similar agencies where you live. Either way, I would get it checked into soon. The Area on Aging Ombudsman should have a toll-free hotline that you can report abuses anonymously and they are compelled to follow up. Look in you Blue Government Pages of Local Phone book under "Elder Advocate" , Nursing Home Anonymous Hotline, Mailing Address |
