Supreme Court Judgeships Are For Life. Should they also have some term limit? 24years, 32years?? |
Today our lifespan is much longer than our founding father's, and our "world is flat", with events, and changes taking place globally faster than they ever conceived . Judges historically live out their terms remaining as unchanged conservative, liberal or moderate. Wouldn't it be better for an elder judge to have a free and open voice of criticism, while retired in the public sector, and a newer voice taking his place. Soon there will be many people living over 100yrs. of age. The Supreme court system is useless as most or all federal agencies they the judge-ships should be subjected to public firing on a hourly basis! The opposite of lifetime appointments! The federal government is full of inept waste-full useless scums milking their connections for easy lifestyle! Age factor is irrelevant Andy Rooney of 60 minutes is at least use-full! no They do have a term limit. Its called natural life. Since the supreme court is so political it should have term limits...maximum 12 years. Also, they should not be appointed by the president but elected and confirmed by the congress. I agree and a 10-yr. term is long enough! |
