Does the landlord have the right to smear your good name with no proof? |
Here is the story. Firstly this morning I took my dog for his usual walk with a bag and cleaned up after him like usual and then in the afternoon I took him outside to the same location with a bag in the stroller and he did not poop only pissed so I left and came home. Then again in the afternoon I took him when my sons returned home from school 15 minutes early he pooped and I cleaned it up and came back to the usual waiting place and he did a few more pees there. Now in the first morning walk I came back into my building and an elder lady who is always there decides to strike up a conversation with me so I stick around and talk to her. After about 5 minutes I turn and see piss on the floor. Now get this there is other people with dogs in the building and there is always dog piss in the elevator and it is NOT from my dog and I do not even know if that piss this morning was from my dog or not, but just in case I did go to my apt. and got the mop and came back and cleaned it up. Well it only gave me so much space so I will add more. Later in the evening I went to my door and saw a sign posted on my door to clean up the poop under the tree and then right in the lobby he had posted apt. 701 do not allow your dog to urinate here. He was there when I came back with the mop. I feel it unjust as I did come back to clean it up and now I feel he is blaming me and posting my apt number unfairly downstairs with my apt. number attached to it. Unfortunately this is hard to prove that it is not you dog doing this. I am clearly on your side here you are doing the right thing cleaning up after your pet. I don't know how you could prove to him that it is not you dog. Wow this is a tough thing to resolve here. I would say show him the evidence, but that would just a wrong thing to do. Just maybe tell him to watch you when you take the dog out I guess, in a nice way though. I think he might then see others not doing what you are doing. what does the question have to do with the story? Who smeared your name? So, the story is: my landlord is blaming me for someone else's dog poop/piss. |
