What does it mean to you?
Respecting law and order?
Respecting authority or respect for your elders?
The nice parks, playgrounds, schools and anything fun to use is just spray painted on, trashed, knocked over and dismantled.
even cemetaries are victim to looting and destruction....how can one knock over someones head stone and call this fun???
I mean maybe the communist idea is not that bad, at least one wouldn't take advantage of this freedom right....
I'll put my shoulder high boots on...because this sh*t will never stop.
What a ashame.
Maybe there should be a class in school called Respect 101
If its not being taught at home...maybe the school will babysit the kids teach them right from wrong and wipe their as* for them too.
(Oh yeah they already do that).
Taxpayer, voter and concern citizen in dooms day that last and who knows when it ends..God bless us one and all...This is all one has in times of uncertainty. I agree with you, what a great question. We need to respect and respect goes for everybody and everything and also respect other Nations. The thing about freedom is that we love it....but in turn it gives us so much time to complain about the system or push the envelope a little bit more. To be honest... It's a complete breakdown in society that is starting with parents. Parents need to teach kids respect and right from wrong. Once the kid is old enough for school then teachers should be able to use some form of discipline other then a time out or something. Through out our whole society it has slowly broken down. Everyone has some sort of a role to play that affects how much people respect one another and if parents are doing their job then it's pretty much down hill from there. I agree...it is ashamed. Respect has been replaced with Tolerance , which means we have to tolerate others bad behavior even when it disrespects others and their beliefs...
The same way with the word " Law Enforcement " which used to mean police could enforce the laws , it has been changed , and now is referred to " Criminal Justice " because today the criminal is a victim of our laws , and think they deserve justification for their wrong doing instead of being placed under arrest ,and locked up ..
All of these who we have seen on the news who refused to comply with the police officers orders , and were tazed , or sprayed with pepper spray , are fighting the police , and hollering "I am not going to jail" , or "don't taze me bro"...
what ever happened to " sorry officer , I made a mistake it was my fault " ....if those idiots would have remained calm and spoke softly to the officers they may would not have even needed to be cuffed , and they d@mn sure would not have to have a dose of forced compliance issued on them ....I do agree with the saying respect is earned and not given ....would that not mean the guys in uniform who have chosen to take a low paying job to protect society has earned respect just for wanting such a job , you would think so , but it just does not happen ..I blame parents who raised these idiots who have no respect for authority .. I was listening to Christian radio this a.m. and the comment was made about the iranian leader coming to this country and having the podium for his rhetoric, what in heavens name is the UN allowing a hater of the Israel state, Christianity and any thing else that we enjoy in this country????
Dont we understand that this evil country hates us, the islamic radicals who dont believe in the value of human life????
We have thrown out God from everything!!! and what do we expect??? I don't believe in taking away people's freedoms because of a few people who don't appreciate the life they were born into. When they are caught, they are punished. Don't forget, the majority of people in this country are law abiding citizens. Do the right thing.
I think all this is a result of kids not having loving families. Loving families don't exist because the right wing doesn't believe in real wages and doesn't value its citizens. At the same time the greedy media put too much value on money and glitz and the haves. This brainwashes people into believing that having money and power is success. Everyone wants to feel wanted, valued. So forced to compete with the jones for dignity people learn to devalue others and objects in order to feel like they are valued by society in the eyes of their peers.
Money is king and everyone who doesn't have it will serve it.
Society screams You are worthless.
And we try to prove it wrong.
Don't listen to me about this I'm just a fleabag mangy mutt. Kids again need to be taught respect for their parents and for authority figures, so that they will grow up with some values. |
