What are some majors for a master degree program that can help a person who is interested in law school?

I am not ready for law school now but I do wanna further my education while working as a paralegal.

I know this may sound silly, but I am unware of what I want to do so Im asking a lot of crazy questions. Can you recieve your master's while in law school. Are there programs that allow that.

Call your local college and talk to a guidance counselor about this, they should be able to help you. Or you can call William & Mary here in Virginia, one of the best law schools in the country and ask them.

1. Law School
The Law School is a graduate school of the state-supported College of William & Mary, offering a three-year J.D. degree program of full-time study and the joint degrees of Law and Master of Business Administration, Law and Master of Public Policy, and Law and Master of Arts in American Studies

The two most common are criminal justice and or corporate. If you want to go into government departments many chose a political science background. If you want to go into the foreign service sector most chose a language and of international law. This is because they want to join the FBI, intelligence department, the military law groups, United Nations or be stationed in Brussels or some just want to be a part of one of the major relief groups and work overseas. Today the field is wide open internationally as well as domestic.

Depends what type of law you might want to do. I know a law student who got his degree in Psychology. But communication, environmental bio, social work, or history might be good choices depending on what you want to do. Also, consider getting a second bachelors instead. The cost is generally cheaper and the courses are not as intense and career directed.

Political Science, Sociology (MSW), Business, Psychology... hope this helps.

Do you know that you can go to law school with any undergraduate degree?

Law School is tough and requires that you alot plenty of time for reading and writing.

The thesis is a lulu, (smile)

Congratulations great career.

Try family6, entertainment, real estate or business law, criminal law is also a lulu.

Most people who become paralegals get only an associates degree in paralegal studies. You don't have to spend the time/money on a masters to be taken seriously in that feild.

If you're bent on a master's, check out programs in:

* Business Administration and Management
* Economics
* English
* History
* Philosophy
* Political Science and Government

I have worked in law firms for over 20 years and it seems like most of the attorneys obtained their undergraduate degrees in political science. But since you are going for a masters, you might try to focus on anything related to politics, ethics, government, economics, etc.

economics would serve you well. As would business admin. Philosophy is a very good choice. Anything that requires you to write will put you a step ahead of others.

Accounting and business management.

you could take Criminal Justice in a local collage at night it is a cheap way to go
