I am a teacher, and I think a fellow colleague of mine reads the DAILY TELEGRAPH. What should I do

I'm an english teacher at a local futher education college, and last week in the staff room I caught a fellow teacher reading the Telegraph.
Of course I questioned her about her inappropiate choice of reading matter but she said stole it from a fat cat on the tube.. So I let it go, because it is hardly her fault that facists reactionaries read right wing tory papers like the telegraph.

But I have seen her read the telegraph every day this week. She can't be stealing it every time. So I followed her one morning and caught her BUYING a copy of the telegraph from WH Smiths!!!!!!!!

Now I'm all for freedom of thought and everything.. but we can't have somebody who reads the Telegraph teaching immpresionable young minds.
Should I tell the director of education?? I don't want to be a grass.

Perhaps you should send a letter to the telegraph in the hope that they print your letter in the letter section and she reads it noting your disproval of her choice. Make it subtle, of course. As an English teacher you'll be able to work the whole imagery and symbolism thing to a tee.

Well as you're an English teacher i suggest you rectify the errors in you post, failing that just be pleased she doesn't read the sun! lol

You are just a freak I have read other of your questions and they're boring and a cry for attention. Just leave her alone read your precious guardian and let her read her telegraph. If you do inform the director of education he'll probably have you fired.

People who read the Telegraph are very well read and intelligent.Good for her it goes to show this lady has good taste. Where was your copy of this paper?. Me I would not be seen dead with a lot of the trashy papers. The ones that degrade Woman.

Before reporting her I think it is your duty to introduce her to a healthy yoghurt and muesli diet with a hope that you can get her to drop such disguisting habits as buying the Telegraph and shopping in WH-Smiths...

Maybe you are being ironic given that your profile says 'I read the Guardian. I am very PC'. Nobody who calls anyone other than an actual fascist a 'fascist' is actually PC.

You should read the Daily Mail sometime (maybe you do). Of course it's guilty of being hyprocritical from time to time (eg sometimes showing prurient interest in the things it claims to find abhorrent) but it frequently and lucidly highlights the nastiness of left wing papers like The Guardian who print readers letters openly welcoming the thought of the death of Margaret Thatcher. Yes, the left wing are generally nastier than the right wing.

When did you start ruling your country? I must have missed that particular news announcement. Of course i'd rather have my child taught with people who aren't so closed minded to believe that their thought process was the only relevant one.

You policed a fellow teacher, stalked her and now want to try to get her fired for what she wants to read. As a teacher, does this remind you of anyone from history that you can remember?

You are lying to yourself when you say you are all for freedom of thought. Only freedom to believe and think as you do. That's dictatorship at it's best. I think you'd make a great friend to President Bush over here. He tends to feel the same way. Only read what he allows, only think what he allows, only do what he says is ok to do.

Run, do not walk, to the nearest mirror and tell yourself this behavior is not sound. If she's reading smut magazines in the teachers lounge, it's none of your business. What she things politically is her business. What she wants to read is her business. You certainly don't want her to dictate to you what you can read, so why are you dictating what she can read?

Freedom goes both ways. You can't shut down one side without shutting it all down.
