Can we outsource our higher education to other countries?

Since the cost of education is no longer affordable because of the CEO like salaries of the professors can our goverment outsource colleges to India or Africa ?

Could we help these poor developing people and then we get more culture diversity learnings ?

Or can maybe the teachers should get only $12 per the hour to make it better for everyone ?

That's a great idea. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if that's not the next big thing.

No. Not feasable to send millions of students overseas. The less you pay teachers the worse teachers you will get.

Professors DO NOT have "CEO like Salaries" plus CEO's get Stock Options, Restricted Stock, Incentive Bonuses, etc. The average salary of a Fortune 500 CEO is well over a million dollars a year and many makes 10's of millions and more. The average professor doesn't even make 100K.

Maybe you were thinking of the Football Coaches.

That would not work because it's a social issue. You should know that it's difficult to expect America to accept India or Africa education. Maybe Japan, but they would charge just as much. These are economic matters as well. India or Africa have different economies that allow eduction to be cheaper. If you put the US economy into that, there cost would go up towards a US economy. You would probable complain you can't understand India or Africa English accent.

yeah, because a professor with a post-doctorate education should get paid as much as the guy who changes my car's oil.
unlike CEO's professors actually earn their money by contributing to society.
OR we could adopt a free higher education system and tax those same CEOs to pay for the resulting skilled workforce.

well they're (Harvard, Sorbonne) doing it already in Abu Dhabi and other such (selectively) wealthy places
but it's not at all a low cost alternative, it's actually a great big cash cow for the universities banking in on their reputation

No. That would drive tution way up as every student would have to travel overseas and live there for at least 4 years. Also I dont think many people would like to leave their country (Let alone their state) for school. Sad but true.

YOUR PLAN MISSES TOO MANY.
