Have You Heard the Supreme Court Ruled in Favor of the 2nd Amendment?

Finally, the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Constitution. The 2nd Amendment and the entire Bill of Rights were written to insure the rights of the people, not to take them away as liberals believe.

Why have I seen terribly little about this in print or on the air? Is the liberal media disturbed and angry? If it would have been about gays winning some ridiculous special rights, the news and the airways would have been flooded.

Do you liberals finally realize how insane you are, to try to disarm HONEST CITIZENS? Do you realize that gun control laws were originated by Hitler? Will you now seek therapy for your liberal mental disorder?

Will you please read the following for your education and liberal brainwashing deprogramming?

Also, can we now rearm Chicago and San Fran, then either sue those who overthrew the Constitution or throw them into jail?

Thanks! :)

Guns have long been demonized by the liberal mainstream media. They don't want the American people to see that they do indeed have a right to bear arms. They tell us that guns kill 30,000 Americans a year, but fail to mention 60% of those are suicides. They also fail to tell us that alcohol related deaths equal gun related deaths (less suicides). They probably don't have time to tell us that, they have to break for a Budweiser ad.

Prince-If you really think that's what this is about you are a fool. Sorry if you feel insulted, but there's no other way to put it.

Joseph, I just made a grave mistake. I accidently gave you a thumbs down when I in fact loved your answer on an Obama (black or white) question. I hope you come across this, since you have no email address. Jill Report Abuse

Actually there has been quite a bit of this in print and on the air. I'm not sure why you wouldn't have noticed this unless your conservative view limits you to listening and viewing only one or two sources in the media.

All of the liberals that I know fully support the Constitution. Most of them own guns.

In answer to: "Also, can we... either sue those who overthrew the Constitution or throw them into jail?" Should we start with George Bush?

For 8 years the Bush administration and their apologists have been rationalizing extralegal wire taps and detaining American citizens without benefit of council. And you're accusing the liberals of wanting to take away peoples rights? On top of that you're repeating the same tired talking point I've heard from the right for over 30 years, that the left wants to take away all guns. That has no basis in fact. Learn to think for yourself and not to morons like the Savage and Hannity.

I carry concealed and have never had a problem or feared violence. But then again I'm from New Hampshire where home invasions are nil due to the fact that almost everyone who lives there is armed. No one breaks into your house or attacks a person or place that is suspected to be armed or have arms...

If people are afraid to do "bad things" to you or your property, then well they won't happen... But I feel that Liberals think that those same "bad people" have the right to take your property and threaten you - hey those bad folks have rights too...

This is one very small step towards sanity. Let's hope there are a few more.

While I'm at it, if anyone read the opinion, the Dissent actually argued that in "keep and bear arms", the "bear arms" part had an idiomatic military meaning. This is like saying "I broke then pulled his leg" means that first I broke his leg and then I told him a joke.

No one wants to disarm honest citizens, just the wackos. Do you admit at least that there are some wackos who shouldn't have access to guns?
PS - I am a licensed gun owner who has no problem with restrictions on ownership and waiting periods for purchasing guns.

Excellent.
If it is everybody's right to have a gun I assume you have no objection to them being distrubuted for free to the homeless people too.

I think it's great. The next step is getting them to strike down those anti-American wiretapping laws and PATRIOT act as well as the un-Constitutional laws allowing concerning search and seizure.

yes i heard about it and was estatic! finally they got it right.

Yep! I'm a gun owning liberal and I be tickled pinko that we both get to keep our guns.

Ain't liberalism wonderful

I don't know what everyone is putting their hands in the air and cheering for. I've always been able to buy guns, so of coarse the 2nd amendment has always been there. The only difference now is that some city's like the ones you have mentioned(D.C., Chicago, San Francisco) may have to repeal their handgun bans because it may interfere with the new interpretation of the Supreme Justice ruling.

I agree that the people should be allowed to buy guns, because telling the law-abiding citizens that they legally can't isn't going to stop the law-breaking criminals from getting them somehow. However, I often find that this example is overused, seeing how very few people actually end up 'successfully' defending themselves and their property thanks to a gun. Really, most people say that they need guns for self protection, when really all they do is take it to a gun club to shoot at targets, or go hunting periodically throughout the seasons.

As long as people are responsible, of age, and have not committed any felonies, the only exceptions to the guns you should legally be allowed to buy should be on the ones that are automatic and have extremely large clips. I'm not sure if you heard about this latest shooting that happened in Kentucky recently, but a guy went on a shooting spree that ended up killing six people, because his work supervisor told him he couldn't use his cell phone, and because he wouldn't wear his safety goggles at work. If he had a machine gun, he may of very well killed four times as many people. There are just too many people that are messed up in America today(Crazies, radicals, school shooters, etc.), I don't know if it's our lack of culture, or if the people by and large are just getting dumber and more unreasonable. There have always been people that have flipped out and killed random civilians as far back as I could remember(Charles Whitman, Columbine), but as time goes on there continues to be more and more scumbags that are frustrated and suicidal, who are more willing to go out in a mass shooting instead of just owning up to the BS of everyday life like the rest of us.
