How much $$ put towards inmate education??

I"m writing a paper on why men and women in the prisons of America should not be allowed to receive free college educations. How much $$ does the gov't spend each year on inmate education?

no I am not saying they should spend the rest of their lives a criminals. but if its going to be free, acollege student such as myself should get free education first and foremost. since it isnt free to me, it shouldnt be to them either.
They should definitly be allowed to go to college, but they shouldn't be able to do it for free.
all criminals arent victims smart one!

I bet you could find out at government web sites. Try the Justice Department. (Type that phrase into your favorite search engine, and go to their home page. They'll probably have the relevant stats.)

I think access to higher education should be based solely on merit. Thus, I don't dispute that you should be funded. You didn't say that's what you were talking about. Report It

Instead of arguing that you SHOULD get an education, you're arguing that, since you don't, others shouldn't. You're picking the wrong battle. Report It
