Am i a bad person to want to privatize education in america? |
as a person who has experienced both public and private school education, i can definately say that my private education was far more beneficial then my public one. to call a public school a school is a compliment, they are more like prisons, with metal detectors, bag checks, locked bathrooms, police officers, the list goes on and on.......... Frankly, YOUR private school appears to have failed in teaching you proper grammar and spelling, so your endorsement carries little weight. well what you have to do is increase taxes, produce more money for the government to spend on education. If the american government wasnt so busy in fighting wars, it would have more money to spend to improve the levels of education for young people. I've been in the same position as you and I 100% agree, everyone deserves a quality education and the government shouldn't interfere as much as it does. All the rules and regulations cause more problems for schools. They are too worried about funding to care about students. absolutely not!!! The government has sure dumbed down America hasn't it? They don't want people to be smart. If everyone was smart enough to make up their own minds, do you really think Bush would be President? We are slowly becoming the dumbest people in the industrialized world. When you have a president who was able to get a degree by having someone else do his work. I am so disappointed in the American people. I will agree with you 100%. I am a sophomore (for a week more) at a public high school, and even though I'm in mostly advanced classes, I still believe I am recieving a sub-par education. I wanted to go to Catholic school, or for that matter any Private High School, and I was unable to do so. I believe the best way to make public education better would be to leave the federal government out of it. The Burocrats in Washington don't know what's best for my education. Also, The Government should allow my parents to use the tax money they pay for my share of public education to go towards a Private one, if that is what they feel is best. However, the Demon-ocrats believe that My family, as an upper middle class family should support the "underprivledged". It's rediculous. There has to be a new way. I remember a US News and World Report article from eons ago that showed that the states with the best testing scores had some of the lowest spending per capita for the schools. No, you're not a bad person, you're just misguided. Privatization of the entire educational system is a ridiculous idea. "Don't leave the low-income people in the dust."??? So what do you propose, that the taxpayers foot the bill for their "private" education that those "educators" profit off of? Hmm, sounds kind of like taxes financing the system, what a novel idea.... |
