Why does our military spending outweigh our medical and education spending by over 50 times?

Education and Medical = very small budget
Military= way too much money

Because we have an empire to maintain.

Its important to protect the right for even those who do not realize nor appreciate what it takes to permit themselves the liberty and freedoms to be educated and have decent medical care.

The truth of the matter is that a good defense is the most fundamental component to any successful country. I think what you're meaning to ask would be "Why are we spending more money on the war in Iraq than education and medical spending?" The answer to that question is simple: You're government doesn't care about you. To most people that work in the federal government you're nothing more than a nine digit number that contributes to their machine.(Tax payer) Say what you want about Georgie-W-Bush, hell I hate the bastard as well, but the truth is that it wouldn't matter who is in office, we would still be over there anyway. The reason why is because there are no such things as democrats or republicans anymore, its all about money. Those who are at the top of the foodchain like it up there, and when you start shaking their tree to get at the fruit, they don't seem to like it. We're in Iraq for one reason and one reason only: Protecting the interests of corporations, oil and otherwise. Its all about money, and not about politics. It doesnt matter who it is, it doesn't matter if its George Bush, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Barack Obama...they're all after the same thing and thats money, and they'll gladly watch their own voters die in order to get their hands on it. Its all part of the bigger scam, which is once again staying at the top of the triangle. Education and health care are the least of your concerns.
