Should the decision in Brown v. Board of Education been made?

If the framers/ratifiers of the14th amendment did not really intend to end segregation in public schools, could that mean that the verdict in Brown should have been avoided?

It's pretty much impossible to say what the people who passed the amendment wanted. There was a strong movement at the time to ensure that blacks became full citizens in the South, but that movement died off before the Supreme Court addressed how far the amendment was supposed to go. The Supreme Court established the separate but equal doctrine nearly 30 years after the amendment was ratified, when Southern Democrats had established a majority in Congress and all but turned back the gains made after the Civil War.

NO.... cuase it was officially an amendment. you can't just make somethind, agree to it & they try to turn around & say oh no i wasn't foreal, i just made it so you would shut up... naw it's a rule now.

regaurdles if the 14th amendment had been passed or not.. eventually the case would have came about anyway.... african americans may not have gotten their way the first few time around.... but i think it's sad how some white ppl think that if certain ppl had been in charge && if certain things hadn't been done, that slavery && segregation would still be present in the us.. yea alot more ppl would have been abused, killed , there would be thousands more stories to tell... but most ppl gotta realize that even the weakest person is strong at some point & time...
