Are there steps to take to repute a student education loan (ceased by IRS) if the school I attend was a fraud?

Delta college was a school in New Orleans La. who recuited from the housing projects and others out of work.
The school was set-up in a nice building but the teachers would come and stay a short period which left us without a teacher and told to check with the teacher down the hall.
I signed a promissory note but did not get any of the money. Now IRS has deducted the amount they say I owe from my return.

Sounds like you need to talk to a lawyer. You signed the promissory note so that is saying you got the money and will pay it back. It is your word against the school. If there were others that you know in the same situation that would also help you. Hire a lawyer or just pay back the money. It is going to be very hard to prove otherwise!!!!!
