Where is it that says something to the effect of "everyone is entitled to free education"?


Is it the Constitution?

No, no, this is for primary education K-12, paid for by taxes.

It's not in the Constitution, it's just good policy. A smarter America is a better America.

it has been the policy of the US since the beginning that am educated population is s strong one, and hence the earliest legislators set the tone by providing for free primary and secondary education for all (or some subset thereof, which has only increased closer to the limit by now)

That phrase is not in the Constitution nor is it a right. The concept of the right to education comes from the end of WWII with the advent of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights... or a bunch of politicians making right and wrong claims for the world following the post imperial age. It is a non-binding decree.
