Can a misdemeanor background check ruin the opportunity for careers in Healthcare and/or Education? |
Can a misdemeanor background check ruin the opportunity for careers in Healthcare and/or Education? Depends on the type of crime committed and also the type of position you want. I think it would be easier to get into healthcare than into education though. But that's assuming your talking about grade school. College is different and I think many colleges don't even do background checks. But it depends on the state you live in since laws can vary. Yes, i am sorry to say where i live it does. I think it is supposed to only be legal to use Felony's against you, but if a company runs a criminal background check they will see everything anyway, so unfortunately my answer would be yes. I think it would depend on whether it was an offence against another person or not. I certainly don't think traffic violation would have any effect. good luck!! drug or abuse of childerne or elderly or stealing yep but something like a traffic tickett nope unless part the job requires you to drive..... Any criminal record can hurt, but a misdemeanor does not stop, many healthcare careers are not even possible with a felony. yes and it sucks |
