What was the question on which the supreme court ruled in the brown case or brown v.topeka board of education? |
what was the argument of the plaintiff? i dont get it The issue was separate but equal and whether it was constitutional. Plessy v Furgeson said that schools could be separate so long as they were equal. Brown v Board decided that separate really wasn't equal at all and was therefore unconstitutional. So Brown v Board really was the decision to integrate schools. The issue was whether it was constitutional to have segregated schools. One side argued that segregation was perfectly acceptable, the other argued that it wasn't. |
