Teacher arrested over teddy?

Shows how petty the Muslim governments are doesn't it? Nothing better to do than arrest a teacher of a Christian school where the teddy bear was named, presumably by the children, Mohammed, seems to me that these people don't want any help with anything let alone education. Mind you it was probably a girls school and girls are not allowed an education in Muslim countries.

david d - I don't know where you are but I don't think that the British have ever stopped anyone from getting an education anywhere.

we should call back all british people helping them in their countries and stop any aid they arent gratefull and if they were going to lash anyone should have been the kids they wanted to call the teddy mohammed not the teacher.

I think it is only going to cause more tension between muslim and other groups and is nothing more than another case of blame the westerner.

As Ive said before today,will the kids get lashed as it was them who gave it the name,and if it was a Christean school why did the parents complain ?

We may not agree with their law but the important thing is that is the law in that country.

If anything happens to the teacher - in the form of punishment or abuse from the crowds outside - I'd dread to be a Muslim in the UK ! ! !

According to the head of the British Muslims "it is considered a crime to name anything Mohamed, in case the people think its the real Mohamed and start worshipping it.( I must add that the head of the British Muslims did not believe that) But it just make you realise just how stupid these people really are, after all if someone named a teddy bear "Jesus" i for one would know that's not the real Jesus, the real Jesus is a horse, and living in Yorkshire, But will i get death threats for these remarks ?

Sorry though I am for her and hope she will be OK, she was incredibly naive. She is a university educated middle aged woman. Has she been living in a bubble for the last few years? Did she do no research about where she was going, their customs and laws?

OK then, What if a foreign "Muslim" teacher in mid America did the same but named it "Jesus?" There would be a right stink up. She should of at least wised up on their "culture" if you ask me, although i do have sympathy with this lady as she also seems a very genuine and likable person and i hope they let her go soon, without any further punishment.

Another EDIT: Well, the latest is that she is being charged, now, i think it is quite obvious that it's aimed at us Brits. So, what i wrote, above, i meant but not for this backward hateful bunch of Nut, Nuts. Let the the poor woman go for "Christs" sake. Once they do let her go, let's send the troops over to drag em into our century and make an example of them, maybe that might teach these other "type" countries to behave themselves in future.
