Ok, now i understand (from previous question) that u don't want health care for everyone because it is a money

money issue.
most reps don't feel like they should pay SO

if a child is born and has no health care do we as a society just allow that child to get sick or possibly die or ....

do christian conversatives really feel this is ok?

we pay for education already, so would u have been against free education in the past?

do we let adults die and say it's their problem?

am i the only one who feel this is not compassionate nor morally right?

regurugg:
my grammar isn't the issue here as i am published author
BUT
i spend a great deal of time within the hospital arena AND PEOPLE ARE TURNED AWAY EVERYDAY IN SOCALLED SUBTLE WAYS

Health care has become very expensive and the insurance companies aren't working anymore. The government needs to take over. They are already funding it in some form. We should abolish the health insurance industry and provide for everyone. Nothing should change. We should see costs go down in time. It already takes several months to get an appointment. I couldn't get my husband in to see my dentist until March when I called in September. He wants to change dentists because his dentist does not have Saturday or evening appointments. Everyone must take responsibility for his or her own health. No more eating until you are sick or ready to die. It's costing all of us and we are not able to pay for unhealthy people anymore. Insurance companies are profiting on an area where there shouldn't be profits. They don't create anything. The paperwork is expensive as well. Doctors and other healthcare providers are frustrated. It costs them as well. It is the right thing to do that we should all be covered. The beauty industry is huge and helping doctors survive. A lot of practices are getting into the business. What does that tell you? Our system is broken and we can keep things as they are and wait until it's really bad for a lot more folks or we can pressure our politicians to do something. It's out in the open. We know there is a problem and it needs to be fixed. Jobs are going out the door. They aren't being replaced. Salaries and wages are not going up. There is a lot of competition for jobs, especially good paying jobs. That's not a healthy and thriving economy. If there were more and better jobs available then we would not be having this discussion. Why cannot some people understand this? Do they have their heads in t e sand? What will it take to get them out? If people could afford to pay for health insurance then they would have it. It's a necessity. It's not a nice thing to have. It's a must have. We all can get sick. I have health insurance but the premiums keep going up and up. When I was in school and working retail, I couldn't afford the insurance unless I made the choice to be homeless. As it was, my expenses were relatively low but I wasn't making enough to afford health care. Apparently some people have not shopped for health insurance. Naive! My dad who is an electrical engineer and makes great money. He got laid off again. It's common in his field. He cannot afford cobra. It's crazy expensive and he's in great health. But he's getting older. He should be covered. He pays taxes. He's busy helping my brothers who have severe learning disabilities. They both work but they aren't making enough to totally make it on their own. I have a learning disability. But I'm doing ok. I was lucky that I got the help I needed. It seems people here to take a deep look at what they value. I'm shocked at the callousness and selfishness of their answers. They are so wrong. That's wonderful your parents could afford Catholic schools but you benefit from having an educated populace. Your real estate value will go up. Communities with excellent schools see better returns on their real estate investments. It is just more proof that are educational system is inadequate because a little education can be dangerous and like a virus.

No, you are not the only one who feels that the present situation is immoral.

Really, it isn't the money, it is priorities. We spend more money in Iraq in a week than health coverage for all Americans would cost in a year. When we grow up and decide that helping Americans is more important than trying unsuccessfully to run the world, we will havw health care instead of war. What a savings that will be, financially as well as spiritually.

Your right, we do need to pay for healthcare, for all, regardless.

Problem is education is paid for at the local level and the health care you talk about would be paid at the national level which already has many entitlement programs which are slowly bringing the budget to a point of no return where they will take over the budget.
No I don't want people to die that is why in my county there are hospitals that take indigent clients.
And no I would not be against free education but it does not compare in any way to the costs of health care.

I think you are confused. Your English grammar needs some work.
I am a conservative. I am opposed to socialized medicine. I am in favor of the freedom to choose...buy or don't buy insurance as you see fit.
There is a difference between health care and insurance. Everyone in the US has access to health care. Most people have insurance. Some choose not to buy it. Some claim they cannot afford it.
Children are never turned away at hospitals or doctor's offices if the parents cannot pay.

I am opposed to the way education is funded in the US. I have never had children. I have been paying real estate taxes to school districts for over 40 years. When I was a child, I went to Catholic schools. I never cost the public education system in this country one thin dime. Tell me how that is fair.

i do think you should have health care,if it is the money they should cut back on less important things, more lives would be saved and we shouldnt let adults die and say it their problem, your not the only one, babies shouldnt be left to die for the sake of paying out money

Why are you INTENTIONALLY twisting the republican position? You know full well that what republicans believe is that people who have the financial means should pay for their own insurance. Few Americans disagree with offer safety net coverage for the truly POOR. I am getting damned tired of liberals intentionally lying about the GOP position simply in hopes of gaining a few more votes and thus more power. It is nothing less than PATHETIC

These Illegals and their Children are ILLEGALLY IN OUR COUNTRY! What do you not understand by the word ILLEGAL?
We have no compassion for Criminal Illegals. We have no obligations for any or their Problems.
We have enough problem trying to take care of OUR OWN LEGAL AMERICAN POOR, SICK, AND UNEDUCATED!
If Your care so much, then give them YOUR Money, but Our Money goes to OUR PEOPLE!

My guess is that there are people out there who are opposed to supporting social parasites.

If any part of your question pertains to the Health Care that Bush is vetoing, For the first tme, I agree with him. All the money will come from tobacco tax ($.61 a pack). This is cutting into a future government tax. Whys should one group have to pay for all this? If it was a tax everyone "donates" to, I would be agreeable with it. How about if we tax all fast-food restaurants food because of all the obesity health issues? Get the point?

Perhaps the Question is, "Why is the Health Care System So Expensive?", Why is this So Acceptable?
