Agree or Disagree #2?

Should Marijuana up to 12grams (20sac) be legal? Well, if we did then our jails wouldn't be so packed. If we made marijuana legal the goverment can put a tax on it. What ever that taxes that was made from the sales could go to Education Departments. But for the jails, we (could let just the people that have POM go. But if they have other arrest then they stay in jail. More education money, more room for the jails for worst cases, and less of a war on drugs.

Hell yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree. I think marijuana should stay illegal. Also, they should even make ciggerettes illegal no matter how much. They are just killing people and harming their bodies. I know it's the persons decision if they want to do that or not, but the people who sell this stuff are supporting the poor decisions that are being made by smoking. And by supporting I mean they are harming their costumer's bodies and killing them.

(To you smokers who may be offended by my opinion, it's just my opinion so please don't be)

I disagree. I think marijuana should stay illegal , what kind of country would we become if everyone became stoners? believe it or not . marijuana does effect your brain! if you want to fry yourself feel free . but i'll pass . My Opion Only~

Disagree

I would never blame weed for the economic downfall or savior of our country, I do not believe it is a gateway drug. People make their own decisions, high or not we all have that inner voice. Although I do not smoke it now I have in the past and here I am a normal and contributing member of society, imagine that. I believe people are in jail for one of two reasons, either they are guilty or the were railroaded. either way its not weeds fault. i think it would not be the worst thing they could do to legalize it, I mean they legalize so many "drugs" that are supposed to make people well and ultimately make them worse or even kill them.

I cut and pasted this from my other reply to a question similar..... but in response to the first post on this question, I agree that drinking, drugs, and smoking are all bad, but whose place is it to control what another person does with their body, it a moral thing.

yes, drug use should be legal, just use is not different from things such as abortition, who is the goverment to tell someone what to do with their body, the real problem is the limits people go though to get the drug, thats where the crime comes in, if they were legal we would not have that problem- drug abuse should be treated as a health problem and not a criminal one. Do the research as you will see that not only is drug abuse LOWER in countries that follow this, but their crime rates are lower. In addition, legalizing marijuana takes people off the streets committing crimes to get the stuff, lowers the prison population and saves the government money. America spent 67 MILLION last year on non-violent drug crimes, that's 3 times the amount of money it took to rebuild New Orleans! Very intersting information can be found on the website listed below, it is a group of Law enforcement people who belive in making most drugs legal and why.... check it out and read the bibliography of drug reform found in the publications section, very en lighting.

IF you are going to legalize drugs (which I don't think you should) you should allow ALL drugs at ALL amounts. You should tax it all and make it really, really expensive.

Along with this though should be stiff fines for violence or mistreatment (abandonment) of children, significant others, etc.

Marijuana is less harmful to your body/brain than alcohol(Also a drug).
It should be legalised and taxed the same as alcohol.
Either that or ban Alcohol as well....

.I disagree, though I do believe if more people smoked weed instead of that other stuff there would be a lot less crime & violence

i AGREE!!!

EVEN THO iTS NOT LEGAL...PPL ARE STiLL GONNA SMOKE
MiGHT AS WELL MAKE iT LEGAL SELL IT AND TAX iT

DUH!!
