Non-Muslims and Non-Christians Only Answer please:?

Would you (as a non-muslim/non-christian) prefer to have a christian influenced society or a muslim influenced society?

Christian world view:

Islamic world view:

(I know that you would probably like to see your own world view influence the government and education and everything, but since the majority of people in this world have a christian or muslim worldview, it will probably be one or the other).
If the thought of this detests you no end, the other option would be an extreme hard communist government (no personal freedoms or property whatsoever).

Well I am an Atheist living in North America, a Christian dominated world and I would live in the Chiristian, as long as they aren't too right wing in their thinking.

Personally I think North American society is pretty good for what it is, there are extreme right influences and extreme left influences but for the most part 80-90% in somewhere in the middle.

I like that.

Even the most moderate Islamic viewpoint is probably too far right for my tastes

I would prefer a Christain influenced society over a Muslim because the Muslim based societies are way too repressive and they treat women like possessions. I believe that Christian based societies need to return to the Matriarchal societies that they used to be before the Romans screwed everything up and we wound up with what we have now.

I prefer a spiritualistic approach. As for governmental methodology, there is no perfect way to govern everyone and all types of systems will have negative aspects. The "Star Trek" vision is thousands of years away.

thats a really hard question! I'm hindu, but I respect all cultures. Pure Christianity and Pure Islam are both really good religions, in my opinion. It's just that society is a little more different and less pure nowadays so now there are bad points of both religions, despite the several good points of both religions. Also, if everyone was forced to practice either religion or "extreme hard communist government", it would be better not to have any religion at all. I do not think anyone should fight over faith, or force anyone to practice a new faith. Sorry if I didn't answer your question.

Oh, and those links don't work.

Judeo-Christian deffinately

I would prefer to not raise a family. That is the path I have chosen in the midst of a strong Christian culture.

Strong cultural tenency to any one religious norm is disruptive to what I consider appropriate conditions for proper emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth of its citizenry.

I vote for The Church of Whats Happening Now. changes every election.

You pose your question as if one must be either christian, islamic, or communist! Alas, the world is much more complicated.
I believe that religion, nations, governments, etc., are but ways that humans have to compete for finite resources.
I would prefer a just society, but that is an ideal. Human nature does not allow for justice.

You know when it comes down to it they are the same. Christianity and Islamic religion are based on the same basic prinicples. However, Over many years these religions have been manipuated and misrepresented by not only outsiders but leaders within the religions themselves. As a result most sects of these religions end up teaching values which contradict the principles upon which they were based, while at the same time outsiders misjudge the religion using these misguided followers as references. Although it may not be their main text of worship does christianity and islamic religion not study the same bible? (the first testament). So to answer your question either one would be good so long as it follows the essential values of love and respect upon which it was based, but neither, if those values have been forgotten by the religious leaders upon which society follows.
