What have you done to try to stop Vulture Funds underming the "Make Poverty History" campaign?

After Live8, the leaders of the eight richest nations pledged they would write off debt in the Third World to help them fund healthcare, education and infrastructure projects.

Vulture funds choose to ignore this and buy up third world debt and use their high paid lawyers and their financial muscle to try and reclaim up to 10 times what they paid for it.

In the High Court in London recently, Zambia was forced to pay $20m to settle a debt bought by a Vulture Fund for less than $4m.

This represents about half of the money that Zambia would have hoped to save through Debt Relief for all of 2006.

This is an immoral practice.

The system out there is corrupt. there is no shame...Stealing from Charity should be made an international crime

i applaud what you are trying to do...but they will never stop vulture funds,because it is the nature of Capitalism. Vulture funds are immoral,but unless you forcibly prevent it,it will never stop....Dont forget..its totally legal to financially rape and ruin any country,because thats what politicians allow. Id say,that you would need to educate people,to enable them too see what their political representatives are doing in their name....and of course,you know that rich people can only stay rich,by exploiting poor people.......Dont vote,it only encourages them to run amok with public money
