Why is the court so worried that my daughter needs to see her mom every four days, not every other weekend?

My daughters mom had her living in a shed of an abandoned trailer because she was homeless, then had her staying at a place that had drive by's taking place that were her fault, and wouldn't let my wife and i help her or see the baby, so i took her and started the court proceedings on custody. the srs lady involved is trying to make where she gets her every four days for three days instead of her usual every other weekend that she has been getting. if it was the other way around, i wouldn't even get a shot at that. it would strait up be every other weekend. i have a college education and a full time job, her mom barely has a job, its her first actually, and dropped out in 8th grade, and she is psycho. i used to drive 87 miles to see my daughter and when i got there she would slam the door in my face and say i had been punked, then i would just have to drive home. not to mention she used to call literally 100-200 times a day cussing my wife and i out on the machine.

My daughter is 4 hours away, we have joint custody and I also have been treated like you by the court and my ex.

It makes us angry and the system is the system.

What have I learned? Keep the high ground for the sake of your daughter. Be a great loving dad that is supportive and be a great role model.

I have seen a big difference in my relationship with my daughter.

She only has one dad and a new step mom. keep up the good work my friend.

I don't know whats going on, but maybe you should ask the court

It is because the system is lopsided to favor women. It is a syptom of placing 'traditional' roles on gender.

There are many sites you can go to for help, though it sounds as if you have it going already. Stick to your guns, check out support services, and put the wench in her place.

My stepbrother lives with his dad and my mom (stepmother.).. stepsister used to live with us.. she moved back with her mom because she is a whore (nasty word .. but true).. and she didnt like the rules in our house...

Stepbrother wants nothing to do with his mother.. has made it clear many times.. and yet mother is still persuing this matter.. recently the court ruled that my stepbrother must have joint therapy sessions with his mother.. he is 16... almost an adult.. thats the funny part... but the court system is screwed up..

why is the mother so bad?... cheated on my stepfather. verbally abusive. likewise using several hundred cuss words a day... threw him out of the house and moved a new man in.. cheated on him.. several years and many parters in and out of the house while at the same time having joint custody of stepbrother and stepsister...

the last boyfriend actually paid for her house..(was my stepfathers house but he left it to her in the divorce settlement).. she cheated on him.. she was abusive to him.. she even hired a very large black man to rough him up... she was charged with felony assualt because she put a gun to his head one night while having an argument and said "she wouldnt want to waste a bullet"...

now.. that we are up to current events.. she is now remarried.. and wont leave my stepbrother the hell alone.. her new husband is a real piece of work too.. he has kids of his own... based on statements hes made in court mediation about brian - my stepbrother whom hes never even MET.. i would say that he is probably abusive to his own children as well..

the court system is sick.. i feel for you... they are forcing a 16 year old .. almost man.. to visit his abusive mommy.. great..
