Explain to me why the DREAM Act would be a bad policy?

The DREAM Act is only for the immigrant MINORS! It is not for illegal adults, nor does it provide any free college education. I know people say that the illegal parents should have thought about their children before they decided to break the law and come to America, but do we say that about Americans that have children they can't afford and then have to live on social welfare programs? Do we just leave them high and dry?

I'm wondering why people's hatred for illegal immigrants stems even to their children, who are far removed from the parent's country and don't want them to have access to in-state tuition and higher ed.

I know I'll get a thumbs down, but here goes. I don't seem to understand what would happen to the illegal parents when we educate their children. Do we send their parents back home and leave the children here. I have a friend whos Mexican AMerican, and I don't understand how she could live that way. A life in two worlds.

Why should the children of illegals benefit from their parents criminal activity? We don't give in state tuition to murders children. We make it far to easy for these people to come over here and then take the benefits that should be reserved for American citizens.
