I need to move out at 17, in TX. without parent consent can i !? |
my mother is mentally unstable (example: she burned most of my things because she believes that pokemon is of the devil)...she wont let me get a job or an ID she wont even let me out except to church, even if i try to get out all the doors are locked and you need a key to open them. i need to get out and go to a real school instead of this crap Christan academy that is a sad excuse for an education and i want to get a job for some real world experience. i found a family that lives in a good school district and will take me in on the fact that i get a job and graduate, but the problem is my mom wont allow me to leave and if i ran away then she would find me and send me to live in dallas but i have a phobia of large new places and people. if i could live with this family now then at least i can have a chance at life.... i am going to turn 18 in 8 months but i have no real world practice i need to use these last months to explore the rules of society, so i need to move out asap No. just wait unitil you're an adult 18 yrs old. On the meantime think real hard about your future and what do you want to do. Talk to your mom don't feel alone -- lots of people have crazy moms. you know all that little stuff you make for mom at camp and stuff? one of my fondest memories was my mom having a tantrum and throwing all that stuff at me. she made me pick one toy once and then called salvation army to come and get all the rest. she would stand in the hall between the doors to my brothers room and my room and just scream for about an hour every night. In order to move out at 17 you need to become emancipated, this includes getting a sponsor (possibly this family you're talking about) as well as proving in court that you are able to support yourself. Sorry about your mom, sounds like mine. Good luck! check this link its good |
