I cant wait any longer because due to this problem i have been working illegaly and has not been able to use all my skills obtained here due to an i.d card or my drivers license i am eager to be a great contribution to this beutiful country where i grew up in what i call my own land because this is were i was raised(born) to become who i am today. is there any body that can help me solve my situation. i am now 18 yrs

Unfortunately, immigration law is the major regime in which the sins of the parents are -- quite literally -- visited upon the children.

Congress is so wrapped up in is own corrupt and cynical politicking (authorizing a Berlin Wall without funding it, for example) that any realistic solution to immigration issues is unlikely to happen soon. The Republicans have two diametrically opposed constituencies on this: the farmers and factory owners who need cheap labor and the culture-police who think the USA is being polluted by immigrants. (Hey, I live in Europe and we have that sort here, too.)

Fortunately for you if you can get high professional qualifications you, as a Mexican citizen, can work as a NAFTA migrant (TN visa) even if your immigration issues aren't resolved.

Other than that: stay out of trouble. Even the slightest legall blemish can destroy your future.

Best of luck.

If you graduated, you should sue the english department. Now that you are 18 you can go to immigration yourself. I would apply for a work visa and go from there. Do it legally, even though your parents did not!

Your parents must have come illegally into this country and caused all these problems for you. You need to write the Congressman of your District and ask for his help to become a United States Citizen. You should qualify, since you never committed the crime to come here illegally, you were a child, and you have contributed to society in a positive way, by learning the language well and getting educated. Good luck.

what is so bad about mexico go back and help your people and get real.

your story sounds like youre trying to get sob stories for a high school paper

Your story is the same as my grandfathers. His parents brought him over from Italy when he was 9 y/o. When the US entered WWI they promised citizenship to any immigrants who joined the army and fought for 2 years. (and survived). I think the army has something going like that now.
Anyway you need a lawyer. Get one that specializes in immigration issues. Good luck.

who learned you english? top right corner of question box is CHECK SPELLING you sound like a typical american....go back to mexico and get a proper education. maybe take a foreign language course like english. turn off the television and the computer and pick up a newspaper and a book!!!

Since you entered this country illegally, you cannot become a legal citizen without returning to Mexico and petitioning the US government to issue you a visa to immigrate back to the US. I know you didn't intentionally enter illegally, and that your parents brought you over when you were a baby. That doesn't matter. Since you have never been in this country legally, there is no easy path to citizenship. You can't even get your citizenship by marrying a US citizen unless you return to Mexico.

The really bad news is that you, since you have never been legal here, you will not be eligible for a legal visa to come to the US for 7-10 years after you return to Mexico.
