Do you think england should be like scotland?

like english have to pay for higher education, and apprentiships are open to up to 50s in scotland but in england its only 25 why?
The way i see it is if you haven't or got the job you want by the time your 25 your stuffed!!!!!
but scotlands fine
is it fair?

How much is it that the English have to subsidise the Scottish for again? Oh yeah, about 拢1600-1700 per member of the population. Which means free care homes, better education, and whole load of other things that the English can't have. Remember, Scotland, Independence from us would mean no more subsidies.

Pro-Scots and Scottish politicians can say what they like about wanting Independence, ultimately, they really don't want it. They know they won't really get it. So they feel they can say what they like on the issue because it affects nothing.

And, North Sea oil doesn't belong to the Scottish anyway - I believe its more than 12 miles out at sea, the Scottish have no jurisdiction over any rigs out that far.

Yeah more log tossing, more haggis and gingers bring it on I say

It's not fair, but it's what makes Scotland great for education

at 50, you have only 15 years working left, take out your apprenership years and you're ready for your pension.

Stop snivelling about it. If you don't think it's fair then go out & campaign for your own parliament in England. The only reason we probably have that up here is because the Scottish Parliament passed legislation regarding it. If you want the same for England you'll have to:

1: Have an English Parliament
2: Press them to introduce legislation regarding what you ask.

If England doesnt like it, they shouldnt have given Scotland their own parliament.
It may not be fair but that is the government for you. Act now and think later.
The way I see it, Scotland is entitled to have its own rules, after all, we have been subsidising England with the North sea oil and whiskey exports for decades. If it was not for these, Scotland would have been granted independence long ago.

What you've got is better than you English deserve.
You will be completely on your own soon, no more UK or Britons, just English .
Yipeeee!!
Hope this helps?

You missed out the part that most of the uni spaces in Scotland are taken up by immigrants. I think education should be free in the whole of the UK and have no age limit on apprenticeships, although at 50 I doubt anybody would want to retrain.
