Claims to the Child Support Agency?

How is it possible to claim CS for a child over 18 years but still in full time education, the father hasn't been consistant and because it was never done legally there isnt any evidence that he ever paid anything. Also he has been to prison and this should go against him, how do you fight this? In court?

Most states carry CS forward if the child continues education for a year or 3

CS is the place to start the battle.

dont know sorry

What state? Is father husband to mother or divorced or never married? May have to go to court, get statements and whatever paper you can find. Is father now working, out of prison, on probation? Probation office may help if support is condition of probation. need more info.

get in touch with the child support agency, by phone... or even online email through csaonline.gov.au

depending on what state you live in get in touch with the local office.. you should be able to look up online the state and child support authorities to get the number talk to a rep they will rather take it but if they take it your child will have to go threw a DNA test nothing major and he will have to pay you for all the months/ years he has neglected to pay you :) if he doesnt pay you child support divisions take his drivers license if he has one and anything he owns is subject to be taken and sold off for his debt...

just because the child is still in full time education does not necessarily mean you are still eligible for child support. It depends on what state you are in - the fact that you never filed before this in the entire 18 years goes against you....

the fact the father was in prison is irrelevant.

consult an attorney where you live...

Why should him going to prison coutn against him? Count against him for what?
If you claim to the CSA they will assess it and award it. (Only up to the age of 19, and still in full time education).
