Hello can anyone tell me what the penalty of drunk in charge whilst asleep? |
the ignition was on because its was cold and there was no intention of driving the vehicle as the person was asleep how can a person claim hes innocent and not intending to drive plz can anyone help Even if the car keys were in your pocket at the time, you are still in the eyes of the law in charge of the vehicle, and can be charged as such. What an idiot, depending on what country/county it was in will depend on the severity of the penalty. undoubtably it will involve a ban. the only thing that they can do is plead the case to the judge. My ex b/f got done for same thing, except his engine wasn't even running. He got banned from driving for 2 years and also got fined. But he was a lot over the limit! But it was also his first offence. if the engine was running and you were in the driving seat it will be 12 months ban and a fine as you were in the eyes of the law in control of the vehicle A fine of 拢2500 & or 3 months imprisonment. 10 penalty points on your licence, disqualification at the discretion of the court sorry...he will lose the case...he won't be believed that he was not intending to drive. It's possible: U know the law if u would be cought with a gun in your hand they would belive u didn't tend to kill but because it's driving matter u will lose for sure If the keys were in the ignition you are drunk and in charge of that vehicle, whether asleep or not Get a bus pass. Banned for life I hope |
