Licence is to be revoked?

I reported my diabetes to dvla and some of the questions were about alcohol use. I answered honestly that I had had a problem but was now totally sober, (and will remain that way.) Im 51, clean driving licence, never been had for drink driving/speeding/anything. I told the truth and now my licence is being revoked in a weeks time. Not this week but next week...How is it if im safe to drive this week, next week im not safe? By being honest I have to stop using my car, result: No job. No job= no house. Concequence= Well, I most probably will have to break the law. Lesson learnt = Dont tell the truth.

You should have known not to tell the truth on that one!!!

your doctor would have to send something to the DMV that would be his/her recommendation that you are not able to safely operate a vehicle based on his/her medical expertise. there is usually an appeals process if the patient contests, and it usually doesn't happen this quickly either. you should talk to a lawyer about this. do not drive if you are revoked though...as you will be in even more trouble.

You can probably contest that, or file for hardship license where you can only drive to and from work.

Speak to your local M.P. and get legal Advice, this doesn't sound right. They should have asked for a medical report.

So what's your question?
