Does a violation stay on a permanent record?

I recently got caught having a beer in my hand and drinking while in a public park after dark. The cops drove in on us and I dropped the beer. The cops said I could've been accounted for 4 violations, but instead just made it the 1 violation, in park after dark. I am only 16 but have to go to court in about a month and I was wondering if I can pay a fine, and if its going to stay on my permanent record.

even if it stays on your record, a in park after dark violation, will not under any circumstance, hinder you from anything.

but to answer your questions, probably not. Most minor violations never go on your record. It normally takes a misdomeaner.

You should just feel lucky that the cop didnt take you to jail for underage drinking.

You're not the first person to be caught drinking under age. As for staying on your legal record it is a very minor offense, and usually these types of offenses that happen as a youth don't come back to haunt you.
However, you probably dug yourself a grave at with the DMV. Even though you were in a park and not driving a car, it may be possible depending upon the state to hinder your chances of getting a license before 18. Some states require automatic suspensions of driving for any youth caught with drugs, alcohol and fire arms even if they weren't driving. These suspensions can delay you obtaining a license.
As far as driving license records they can stay on yours for upto 5 years from the date of reinstatement.
You made a mistake at a young age and it isn't going to be haunting you for life but for a short period of time, unless you keep doing the same thing over or worse.

yes. every court violation stays on your permanent record.

you will pay a fine and be lucky that you didnt get under age drinking. pay the fine and be on your way.
