Can someone sue for discrimination under these circumstances?

a white woman is hired as a security guard and lives on at the apartment complex as part of the job. she asks her supervisor if her boyfriend can move in, and the supervisor approves. the supervisor then finds out her boyfriend is black, and within 24 hours, she is fired and evicted. there was no rental agreement. i found some cases that prohibit eviction because of association with minorities, but none that mention if there was no rent. citations?

I would sue, its illegal to deny a person from living in the apartment based on race.

The problem with proving discrimination in today's time is the burden of proof is placed on the accuser and no matter how blatant it may be, the perpetrator usually gets away with it. You can thank Reaganomics for that mess.

It is thanks to policies put in place during the 80s that people can blatantly discriminate and get away with it and swear that no such practices still exist.

Go for it, try and sue, but it is usually a long emotionally drawn out process that many just walk away from.

You do have a blatant case of racism. I have seen it occur to a friend of mines. He is a white male and his wife at the time was black. The apartment complex did not know his wife was black at the time that they approved the apartment application. Well, you can figure the rest out from there.

yes

She was discriminated against when she was fired, her living arrangement is just an added bit of discrimination. She was fired when her supervisor found out she was living with a black man. I would think that she and the boy friend have the supervisor and the apartment complex by the short hairs. . .

there are usually three sides to every story,,,his side, her side, and what actually happened.

bottom line,,yet another reason blacks and whites shouldnt mix.
