If someone is on social security disability, does he have to pay child support? |
my friend has two kids and his only income what he has is 600 ssc. Does he have to pay child support he cant work bc of his disability. how would he pay for housing, food.... can they take it? and maybe make him pay back for 3 years he haven't payed? Child support and Taxes are the two things that can be taken from someone on disability. Though the child support that he would be made to pay would probably not be worth forcing him to pay it would probably only be about fifty dollars a month. They can't touch it. I have a step brother in this situation. He's on SSI, I really don't know what the hell for, he's far healthier than I am. He also has a few kids scattered around, although most of them are all grown up now, and they got NOTHING. They don't give him just a monthly check, he also gets food stamps and subsidized housing. Last time i talked to him his rent was like $30 a month. If he has more income than she does then he will still have to pay. They don't take into consideration how much you pay for rent or food. It's sad, but that's why people really need to think long and hard before they have kids with someone they don't plan on spending their life with...Some people pay more in child support than what they would if they actually had custody of that child...You play, you pay... THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THAT CHOOSE TO WORK... I AM SURE THERE IS SOMETHING HE CAN DO ! prob has to pay. but since you have to go through a court they might show some leniency, or create a plan for him to repay the money. Yes. Just because he has a disability doesn't mean he gets special treatment and can be let off for not paying. He is the same as every other man who has to pay, no different. Yes he has to pay still ya jesus loves you |
