Can someone give me an example of Discrimination based on Disability? It's when an employer refuses to hire people who are disabled even when their disability doesn't affect that type of job or he'll hire them but pay them way less than other people who are doing the same work. another example is an employee who became disabled somewhat since hiring dare. For example someone is diagnosed diabetic or with some other chronic disease. If they want to continue to work their job, the employer cannot fire them due to consequences of the illness. I believe there is a law preventing discrimination of employees in this way. Americans with Disabilities Act is what I think it is called. Those of you who are more familiar here can call me on this. Someone not giving someone a job because they were in a wheelchair even though the person could do the job as well as anyone that wasn't in a wheelchair. |
