What average cost for fine and everything for DUI?

i got dui, my license is splendid, and they haven't schedule me a court date.

Between paying for drug/alcohol classes, drug/alcohol tests, fines, prison (some forms of incarseration like work release require you to pay "rent") lawyers, community service and of course lawyers if you have any you''re looking at spending about 10,000 dollars, easily. And even more if you take into consideration the increase in higher insurance. And you'll probably either only be able to get a restricted lincese for a year or have to rely on rides from others, which could also cost you. Your license is suspended (not splendid ;-)

That and like for Colorado, for example, you cannot have your DUI expunged from your record - ever. For most petty crimes if you've been good for so many years you can have your record sealed. But at least in this state thats not possible.

Basically getting a DUI is amung the top ten dumbest things a person can do. Fortunately I only got the one DUI in 2003. I wouldn't have had to go to jail except my BAC was .206 (yeah I was loaded at the time) and the state of Colorado has a minimum mandatory senstance for any DUI conviction where the defendant has a BAC of .200 or higher.

But all totalled I ended up spending about 10,000 dollars. I didn't get my drivers license renewed until three years later. Which while I still had to fill out an SR-22 insurance form because of the fact that within that three years I did not get another DUI and it was my only one my insurance rates didn't go up.

That depends on your jurisdiction and the judge you get. I've seen fines as low as $40 and as high as $5,000.
