My sister is going to jail for 30 days for a dui in three days, she is freaking out!! ? |
Is there anything I can do or she can do to calm her down? has anyone ever been in county jail for that before? Is it rough?? Will she be alright? my friends have been in county, tell her to thank god that county is like a country club compared to prison She needs to be freaked out - she needs to be worried - that's the point. Next time she gets in a car when she's been drinking instead of calling a cab she needs to remember that she went to jail and it wasn't fun. County jail isn't going to give her the reality check a proper prison would but it's not going to be a party either. She needs this lesson and you need to not enable her and let her have it.....because, trust me, if she's drunk and on the road and kills my child, jail will be the least of her worries. It's county jail. It won't be pleasant, but she should take this as a lesson learned. She should be more concerned about what this will do to her professionally. Any company that does a background check will not hire her, and she will be stuck in lower wage jobs forever because she decided to be stupid. Her car insurance will over triple, if she can get any. And her license will be suspended for at least 6 months, meaning she can't drive ANYWHERE! Trust me, if she plowed into another car while driving drunk, she would have a lot more to freak out over. She made a decision to drive drunk and heartlessly endanger the lives of innocent people. If she got into an accident, the victims would be living with the results of her decision. Now she has to live with the results of her decision. you cant do anything to. Sounds like she became concerned too late. She should have thought about this when she got behind the wheel while intoxicated and endangered the lives of others. Jail isn't something she's supposed to look forward to. A few drinks oughtta calm her down some - just make sure you hide the car keys... |
