Underage DUI in Arizona.? |
I just got an underage DUI and was wondering what I should do...I know about all of the concequences and fines, but during my first court appearance, what should I say? I cannot afford a lawyer so any advice will help. Should I plead guilty and just accept the concequences, or ask for a public defender? Any help? Assuming it's a first offense, be honest and suffer the consequences. Say you're sorry and mean it. Dress and look neat and be nice. Don't act like a jerk. Let it be a lesson. It would be good to step up to the plate and accept whatever the consequences are. However, you may be able to get some leniency if you voluntarily go to meetings(AA) and have someone sign a piece of paper saying that you actually attended. The judge may see that you are sorry for what you did and are taking action to stop yourself from doing it again. Good luck email me at iamloved1979@yahoo.com, and I can give you a link or phone number to have your parents check it out, and if they like it, as soon as they sign up, you will have attorney representation immediately. You are in trouble either way just get it over with and plead guilty. Sarah, the state of Arizona has very strict laws & severe penalties on DUI. Basically you should know that DUI is based upon an individual鈥檚 BAC (Blood alcohol concentration). BAC is a limit that is set in every state which if exceeded will lead a person to harsh penalties. Yes its better to ask for public defender, because its your first DUI & secondly you are an underage as well. |
