What happens if a crime victim is a child and doesn't show for criminal trail?

What happens if a crime victim is a child and doesn't show for criminal trail can she be arrested

Most of the time they ask that the children not be at the trial, especially if they may be called as a witness (subpoenaed). If the child is subpoenaed and doesn't show up, they will hold the parent/guardian responsible unless they can prove they tried their best to get the child there.

The trial may be continued, but the judge has discretion on this. Usually, if the child isn't there, the parent or guardian is subpoenaed to bring the child and that adult is subject to punishment (jail or fine) by the court for disobeying the court's order to bring the child.
