Example of a 'Guilty' criminal who got away with little or no jail time?

I'm doing a speech on criminals and how they can get away with things up to murder. But i need an example, thanks

OJ Simpson is the best example. The cops tampered with the evidence and he was acquitted. He lost the civil suit and was found liable.

Plenty of good examples can be found from historical records of the American Mafia. Just look at Al Capone - one of the most notorious criminals in American History, known for his widespread bootlegging and violent crimes, yet the only thing they could convict him of was tax evasion.

People in the mafia can get away with their crimes by bribery, strong-arms tactics, and avoiding direct involvement in the crime. Or, they can become informants (such as Henry Hill) and get away with significant charges by providing information about their fellow wiseguys.

Oh yeah, and there's that Hiesman Trophy winner who got away with double murder.

The murder of Emmit Till. He was a fourteen year old from Chicago who was murdered in Mississippi in 1955. The man who murdered him ,J.W. Milam was acquitted by 12 jurors and later sold his story to a magazine where he admitted to killing him and of course because of double jeopardy he was not tried again. I have attached a link.

Millikan the junk bond king. i think he is a guest speaker in a MBA program in California. any number of white collar criminals get very little time (in a country club prison). sorry, OJ was not convicted. there have been several Nazis that have never served any time, but have been convicted, but not located. also, check out the presidential pardon lists.

debra lafave-
who pleaded guilty in 2005 to statutory rape charges stemming from her assault of a 14-year-old student in 2004
Then violated her probation, and was released early for probation after that.

If it would have been a male perpetrator, they would have gotten 20 years.

Terry Scott. This was a gentleman in my community that because of a mental illness was not jailed for theft. His nickname in the neighborhood became "Terry Scott Free."

Me. Today I drove 27 in a 25 zone and failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Those are crimes, punishable in my state by up to six months in jail. I served no time for them.

Perfect example: O.J. Simpson

"Scooter" Libby

Alberto Gonzales

George W. Bush.

OJ Simpson

Neil Bush

OJ

Umm, O.J. comes to mind...
