Criminal background?

does anyone know where i can get a free criminal background check?

No such thing as free, but there is cheap. Contact the county courthouse where the person lives and ask for the Clerk of the District (Superior) Court's Office. They will charge you a fee to perform a criminal background check. You will need the person's legal name, date of birth, and possibly more info (the more info the better). They will not do anything or give you any information without payment. Be sure that the background check is for the entire state and not just the county. Warning: common names like Robert Jones will come up with multiple hits; you will need as many details as possible so they can make sure they give you the correct info.

If time is of the essence and you live nearby, go to the courthouse and look up the information yourself. The people at the Clerk of the District Court will help you start the search. Again, make sure that the records check is statewide and that you have the right person.

The Clerk of the District Court handles all the paperwork on felonies, divorce proceedings, major lawsuits, and name changes. It will not give you the info for crimes committed as a juvenile (those records are sealed) or misdemeanors. They will also have whatever paperwork has been filed on current/upcoming cases; but chances are that one attorney or another has the documents checked out for review.

Nothing is going to be comprehensive or thorough that is free. Try the background check superstore low prices investigator assisted: http://www.eFindOutTheTruth.com

If you go to the clerk of court's office, it will be free unless you want copies of documents. However, most of the time, it only applies to cases that have gone to court or have had paperwork filed.
