HOW CAN I DRAG MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF DELHI TO THE CONSUMER COURT?

I have booked a community hall in November 2007, and deposited rs.10,000 as security and I still don't get refund of this security. Whenever I go to M.C.D office to know about the status they give the same answer every time, "come next month". Please help me out in this matter?

Although this Consumer Complaint will be entertained in the District Consumer Forum & you will get the refund, interest & cost for this deficiency of service on the part of MCD. However this will be both time & money consuming way out rather you move an application under the R.T.I Act & seek information with regard to mode of refund of amount deposited by the department for booking of the community hall, the total time taken for the refund as prescribed under the law, the amount of interest paid to the party on delay in the refund, number of cases pending for refund & time delay in each of the case & other likewise information. Once this application under the Act is filled within one month you will be getting the refund bank cheque, whether you will get any interest on the delay of this refund or will you get any reply to the information you asked the MCD in the application under this Act I can't say but this would be best most convenient & economical method to get your money refunded from the MCD.

1. file a case against them in the consumers forum court

2.file an application under RTI , as suggested by the lawyer member

3. meet the zonal commissioner of mcd instead of meeting the accounts section clerk
