How can I cancel Verizon Fios Contract with No Cancelation Fees?

I signed up with Verizon Fios about 9 months ago. Worst move I ever made. I have never dealt with such an incompetent company. It initially took me 5 months before they could get my billing right. They were over billing me anywhere from $45-70 a month. I would spend anywhere from 1-2 hours per month on the phone getting bounced around and tryng to explain how they over billed me. Then every month they are like we already gave you all these credits. They were not credits they were over billing. I finally started getting billed correct for 3 months and now this month my bill is $50 to much. I am so mad at the fact that I have to go through this again. They want to bill you like $200 to cancel service. Don't we as consumers have rights? Shouldn't I be able to cancel because of all the bad service or do I just have to put up with their poor service for 2 years. Anyone know how I can get out of my contract> I am in Florida. Not sure if that matters

Overbilling is not "poor service" that allows you to cancel the contract. If they have not actually provided the FIOS service, that's different.

Pay them only what you owe them, on time, with your explanation included in the envelope with your check. Make them come to you instead of you chasing them for 2 hours a month.

If they decide to cancel you and take you to court, be ready to show that you paid what you owed every month. And be sure to follow up with the credit reporting agencies so that your file will show that you were in the right.

While I can't give you any legal advice about getting out of your contract, I can sympathize with you. I have Verizon Fios now and I wish that I had gone with someone else. They have the worst Customer Service of any company I have ever dealt with.

How many times are you going to ask this question!? You have been given the same answers. Just because you do not like our answers, does not mean you keep on asking until someone gives you an answer you like.

So, to answer your question, AGAIN, NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
