What would you say if ISP and authorities would banned illegal websites out of the network in our countries? |
By following the already written laws banning illegal website that are poluting the Internet by putting up all sort of scamming technics. Publishing an open public list to prevent any censured or discrimination from their part, I dunno let say on the FBI and RCMP website and such authorities for other countries. Censorship is a slippery slope, and once on it, it is most difficult to stop. Far better we have a totally open world wide web and people understand that not everyone has the same interests, wants and needs. People are responsible for their own actions, regardless of what the "nanny government" types say. As an adult you are responsible for the monitoring of your minor children when they utilize the world wide web. I like it but the first amendment is in the way, plus most of the sites are foreign and how do you propose to stop that? Are you also counting those that show free movies that are out on DVD to buy/rent, or movies in movies theaters too? What about music, books, video games and software?Just a thought. I like the ones you already listed. I'd just wanted to add to your great list of sites that should be banned as well. |
