What do you think of the direction of the United States?

There are many drastic changes occurring in the United States, which includes: mass immigration both legal and illegal (altering the demographics), economic issues (outsourcing, fuel prices, loss of worker's and consumer rights), censorship (regulation on freedom of speech and the internet), the path towards bilingual (Spanish and English), rewriting the nation's past history (enough said), tighter gun laws, and an intense racial conflict (with neither political party trying to achieve true racial social equality where people can look beyond race when deciding how to treat people. Do you think the United States is moving in the right direction or do you think that it is declining? What about the presidential candidates? Are any of them trying to make this country better or are they a bunch of phonies with no real solutions?

I dont' know what kind of path we are heading down but its a very scary one, immigration has been happening for hundreds of years but its gotten WAY out of control, people are losing there jobs to someone overseas because its cheaper, the cost of living is going up while no ones paychecks seem to be adjusting to it, there is no such thing as freedom of speech anymore its a sad truth these days, Parents no longer have control over there own households and can no longer discipline there children because people take it too far and it might damage there self esteem but notice that up until 20 or so years ago people were doing just fine raising there kids without the damn goverment butting there nose into everything I agree that we need to keep an eye out for the abuse but for godsakes people DISCIPLINE YOUR CHILDREN tell them no and if they don't like it send them to there rooms and let them scream at you they hate you and will never love you again (they dont' and they will), and its sad that the two front runners of the election (Obama and Clinton) are too hellbent on proving that a black man or a woman can win but put them on the spot and you might find that they both offer the same solution for the problems and that is they don't have one, they use the same worn out speech that candidates have used for years to gain the trust of the people, and lets not even get started on fuel prices the fuel company's are price gouging 'nuff said, there is alot wrong with this country where its no longer one nation under god (too bad because its what we were founded on even if you dont' agree with it) but take a look at history and you might notice a strange trend the more we push God out of the picture the more our country falls apart.

my 7 year old daughter says she does not know where its going, but she likes it

I am terrified that our planet is doomed because of the choices we as Americans are making. So guilty every time I buy anything, we just have way too much "keeping up with the jones" going on. I Seems like we live way better than the rest of the world, I wouldn't trade my freedom for anything! But yes, I am concerned about the direction our country is headed in.

Unless we have a green revolution we are only digging ourselves into H#%%

I hate to inform you, but immigration has been taking place since the beginning of our country's history. You may want to enroll in a US history course at your local college.

We are in serious trouble. It will get worse if either of the two on the left get into the Whitehouse. Mccain isn't much better. The U.S.is in decline but can be rescued if the next president does little and then we get good choices the next time around.

You have about 10 questions going on here...
I'll just answer all of them by saying I think our courntry is going down a socialistic path that is very, very scary!

We r moving to a one world goverment. America is on a down hill fall. The pope is one of the ones behind it all. We better save our money and be prayed up

It's certainly not like it used to be. But just so you know, we are all immigrants here, unless you're Native American.
