Cancellation of Bally's 3 year contract?

Well I was fooled. I thought they said 3 months but it said 3 years and now I'm being charged 2,200 USD. I signed up today and I was reading the contract and it said this:
"Cancellation Rights:a) Consumer Right to Cancelation. You May cancel this Contract without any penalty or further obligation within 3 days from this date. b) this one says that you have to have some sort of excuse."
--------------------------------------...
okay. I signed up today April 15, 2008. Can I still cancel. Please help me on this. They screwed me =(

The only part I don't know is if they are going to give me 150$ refund? Anyone know if they are?

type up a letter cancelling. take a copy in person and get a receipt from a real person (make them sign a copy of the letter that you taek with you). also, MAIL a copy, certified/return receipt requested. HURRY

Wow!
Here is your legal way to get revenge

Go to ripoffreport.com
Its a website by consumer for consumer for preventing fraud and scams layout out ur problem, everybody will read about it(thousands)
You can file a a lawsuit, and the report u put on this site can be used against the company.

Try it! You won't lose anything, but gain so much.

If u even use the report against the company, w/o the lawsuit, there is a good chance that u will settle with something good. Becuase they don't want to lose consumers.

:D

Yes you have 3 days to cancel. Get in there right away and cancel that contract. Bally's is good for screwing people over in contracts. They will try to talk you out of it, and even offer to give you a better deal, but don't fall for it.

Good luck...

It isn't the 15th yet, but ok. You can cancel, but go STRAIGHT there in the morning. They will give you hell, but stand your ground and you will get out of it.

You have 3 days to cancel a contract

you should be able to ... GET it in writing though... and copies of everthing... I'm still being chaged by my gym...
