My boyfriend is a contractor in texas?

i have a big problem i just broke up with my boyfriend 1month ago and he did some construction work around my house for free with no contracts now he said that he is gonna put a lien on my house if i don't pay for the work he did and he did it for free when he started working

Without a contract he is going to have a difficult time getting a mechanic lien on your house.
If he actually goes to court you can state the facts that he did the work because he was your boyfriend.
He does not have a case.

He is wasting your time and the courts if he goes through with it.

Almost anyone can lean someones house, but they have to have good reason for it. Unless he can prove that you were suppose to pay him and I don't mean sex, it's his word against yours.

If he does lean it, it is not the end of the world. Dispute it immediately!

I not sure how the lean laws work in Texas but here in Arizona they almost aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Good luck.

did you sign any papers concerning the work he did ? if not he cant do a thing
