How does one "get out of a speeding ticket" in olathe, Kansas?

I was cited for going 78 in a 55mph construction zone. the fine is $410. Also, i can't afford to pay even more money for a lawyer or to enroll in a diversion program. Can I get the charge reduced or dropped--if so how?

"getting out of" inplies guilt. so what i am asking about is how to get the case not prosicuted, the charge dropped. Is it true that if the cop does not show up i would win? Also, if i pay the $410 ticket with a check for $411 and don't cash the refund check that they send me will it stay off my otherwise spotless record since the account is not fully closed?

In most jurisdictions, you cannot get the charge reduced if you are really guilty.

If the police officer made a mistake and you were not really going 78 in the construction zone, an attorney can give you a great deal of help defending the ticket.

Also how well was the construction zone marked?

Were there people actually out working in the area of the construction zone where you were ticketed.

You need an attorney to help you with your defnese. You have almost no chance of success if you try to defend your self.

I have fought a speeding ticket that I received because of an error made by the police officer. I was not speeding.

I hired an attorney and won in court.

The other people that I saw there in court did not have atorneys and lost their cases.

I recommend that you start interviewing attorneys who specialize in the defense of traffic tickets and who have a track record of success in court.

You may think that you cannot afford an attorney.

Actually you cannot afford to not have an attorney.

You can plead not guilty and take the case to trial if you wish. You can also plead not guilty and then arrange to talk with the prosecutor and try for a plea bargain. As to how to win the trial, you said nothing about what happened and so I would have no idea of how to defend you.

22 over in a construction zone is reckless driving. You have to pay the ticket and depending on how many point are on your license you might lose it.

Move to tjhe bahamas

Pay your ticket and drive the speed limit is what you should LEARN to do.

Better know someone important. Like the police chief or Mayor. SLOW DOWN!
